We believe technology is not a luxury; it is a necessity. We give those without access to technology the same opportunity as those who do. When we give technology, it is never about the device. It is about the ability to connect and empower people to advance.

WHY WE BELIEVE IN WHAT WE DO

Our Core Tenets

Access

It allows us access to remarkable resources, the happenings around the world, and removes the physical barriers of the classroom.

Technology connects us to knowledge.

Connect

It becomes a cap and gown, a college application, or a new career. We intake devices and turn them into a product that’s brand new.

Technology connects us to the world.

Technology brings unlimited opportunities.

Empower

Each device given reflects a broken barrier, the next milestone, personal accomplishments, and new beginnings coming to fruition.

HOW WE STARTED

It started with one idea.

At Aeras Technologies, once an idea gains traction, it is set until completion. The Aeras team determined the Foundation could be used as a vehicle for clients to donate their used IT equipment and old devices and distributed to those in need in the Orlando area. A few signed papers later, and Aeras Foundation was born.

David Collins, CEO of Aeras Technologies and President of the foundation, co-founded Aeras Foundation in 2020. He served as Federation Chief and board member of the Eola Federation from 2008-2018. Collins worked in senior carrier sales positions for 26 years at Apple, Pantech, and Nokia covering the United States. Prior to this, he was in software sales selling tele-management and banking software. He received his degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Central Florida.

David received his degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Central Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys living the dream in the great outdoors with his wife and three daughters.

“This is our way of leaving the world a better place than we found it. The Digital Divide—we can solve this.”
